Inspirational clothing sketches by Grace Ciao, a 22-year-old student from Singapore, bring us an unusual style in fashion illustrations, who uniquely uses flower petals instead of conventional medium like watercolours, ink or fabric to sketch fashion illustrations. The idea of real flower petals fashion illustrations came to Grace Ciao by accident when she got a dying rose from a boy, “I remembered how beautiful it used to be and wanted to ‘preserve’ this beauty. So I made fashion illustrations out of them,” she told Buzzfeed, “I think petals work really well for illustration also because their delicacy and exquisiteness mimic those of a soft fabric,” then she set to this aesthetic and original fashion design. The young artist is now in business school in Singapore and creates fashion designs she’s interested from bridal wear to haute couture as a freelancer in free time.
